We were delighted with the turnout and response to our first Care to be Heard seminar last week. The presentations and information generated plenty of useful discussions around issues such as the impact of welfare reform on people’s lives; how to go about applying for guardianship; how difficult it can be sometimes for carers to get their point across; how to do that more effectively and when independent advocacy can help.

The feedback provided was extremely positive and showed us how informative and useful the seminar was for those who attended. We will be running the seminar on a regular basis either here in the Ceartas offices or by taking it out to local groups, care homes and organisations.
