Volunteer

At Ceartas we have a number of volunteers working in a variety of areas of the service. We have worked with the Volunteer centre in East Dunbartonshire to ensure that volunteers are properly supported so that any volunteer’s time at Ceartas is a productive and positive experience.

We have a number of volunteering opportunities at present, some are listed below, however what works best in our experience is to contact us about your interest in volunteering and arrange to pop in for a chat over coffee. This way you can learn more about Ceartas and find out if we are what you are looking for…if not don’t worry the coffee is free! And we can point you to the local volunteer centre who have lots of other opportunities available in the area…

Trustee/Director(s)

We are currently seeking individuals willing to be trustees for the organisation. Ideally we are looking for skills/experience in the following areas: marketing, fundraising, human resource management, health, social work. Contact us for further information and a recruitment pack.

Advocacy Info Cafe

People who have volunteered with Ceartas have done a number of tasks including: assisting staff at information events; supporting advocacy; assisting in the delivery of one of our training events; serving teas and coffees at De Café, ABI Cafe, our Advocacy Info Cafe or one of our small groups; assisting in the writing of magazine articles & working alongside staff in undertaking a survey of service users of the community addiction team.

If Ceartas is not for you then don’t worry the coffee is free! We can point you to the local Volunteer Centre who have lots of other opportunities available in the area.
