From schooldays we are taught to know our place - it’s better to sit quietly and say nothing than to stand up and make a fool of yourself. We accept it rather than cause a fuss. In adulthood the principal is the same - we passively receive services rather that actually determining what those services are... people we care about being made to fit into services rather that services being re-designed to fit individual needs…that is why Ceartas is so vital so that individuals are given the right support at the right time.

If you support the work that Ceartas achieves then you can become a member.

Membership is free and open to everyone who supports our aims and objectives.

By joining Ceartas, you will receive a regular newsletter and be informed about our work as well as being kept up to date on the issues facing our service users in East Dunbartonshire.

As a member, you may also take a more active role eg attending the AGM or standing in the election for the board of management.

Whatever the level of involvement you chose your decision to become a member does make a real difference: it strengthens our voice and increases our influence as we advocate in East Dunbartonshire because it enables us to demonstrate to potential funders that we have strong and active body of support who back us in what we want to achieve in representing people in East Dunbartonshire.
