23 October, 2019Ceartas Advocacy and Clyde FC Community Foundation are running an accessible course for people currently receiving a social work service, raising awareness of Self Directed Support, Advocacy, together with promoting health and wellbeing and a focus on essential life skills. We are having an initial meeting at the Get Set & Go Invitational which will act as taster day, providing an introduction to the following full 6 week course.

Get Set & Go will be a 6 week programme of interactive training sessions split into two phases. Get Set & Go is a game of two halves the first half incorporates a 45-50 informal interactive group learning model providing and raising awareness of Self Directed Support, and Advocacy together with sessions on health and wellbeing. The second half is having fun and learning tactics at Broadwood Stadium football ground and run by the Clyde FC Community Coaches. Each learning session will have suitable handouts and literature.
Day timetable:
12:30 – Meet at Ceartas Offices
12:50 – Arrive Clyde Change into training kits
13:00 – 13:50 – Boardroom Session
14:00 – 14:40 – Football Session
14:50 – Changing Room return training kits
15:00 – Leave Broadwood
15:20 – Return home to Ceartas offices
