We had a power cut yesterday: it wasn’t good when the telephones and computers went down but we knew it was serious when the team couldn’t get on Wi-Fi to update their Facebook or tweet about it… So we felt it appropriate to share some guidance for those who may need a bit of extra support in these situations, should it happen in future. Join the Priority Services Register: for vulnerable adults and those who may find it a particularly distressing time. You can join if you;

Are over the age of 60

Have a special communication need

Depend on electricity for home or medical care

Have a child under 5 years of age

Have chronic illness

Or just feel you need a little extra help

This is also available for gas customers who might be vulnerable to losing heating during the winter. In your case, you must contact your gas supplier directly.
