To celebrate World Book Night, the team at Ceartas are hosting a charity cake and book sale on Tuesday 23rd April at McGregor House, between 10:30 and 12:00.

All funds raised will be in aid of Streetreads who provide books and other opportunities to rough sleepers in Edinburgh. Along with the Simon Community, Streetreads will be coming to Glasgow this summer.

WBN is a celebration of reading and each year we receive a number of books to distribute to people who don’t usually read or have limited access to books. We deliver these to local partners and organisations across East Dunbartonshire and are excited to be expanding on our activities for 2019. This year’s book is ‘The Ice Cream Girls’ and the first 10 people to arrive at our event will receive a copy. There will also be an opportunity to win some literature related prizes and all are welcome to join. To reiterate: there will be cake… lots and lots of cake!
