Police Scotland are currently running a week-long campaign against doorstep crime (21-28th May), called Operation Monarda. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the crime to all householders and to encourage reporting of such incidents to the Police and other relevant partner agencies such as Trading Standards, Crimestoppers and Citizens Advice.

The vulnerable and elderly are both the most likely victims and those that are most negatively impacted by such a crime. Due to this, Police Scotland have made a short video to share with partner agencies who visit and support the elderly and vulnerable in their homes or engage with them within the community to provide further information on Doorstep crime.
