February already!

Monday

Karen and Linda spent some time capturing the stories of members from the Knowing Me group. The course ran over a 9 week period and was designed to encourage those attending to feel confident in telling their own personal stories.

A member of the team accompanied a man to social work meeting to support him when expressing his views on his particular situation and to raise some requests that he felt would make his life easier.

Tuesday

All staff members met for our extended meeting where we discussed a number of topics, from housekeeping to board updates, services review to AOCB…

Wednesday

OPAL operations team meeting at McGregor House.

& De Café Milngavie who welcomed Eryl from Library Services, to discuss how to join your local library, borrow books and everything else.

Thursday

A dose of ill health left ABI Café without a guest speaker so instead featured some information about psychology from Simon (Headway), and Linda provided info on some upcoming dates on the calendar, such as the Human Rights workshop on the 22^nd of February (contact Linda on 0141 775 0433 for more details)

Our Walk n Roll group then followed and went a tour of Kirkintilloch, starting at the Baptist Church then swinging by the Leisure Centre, before heading back down to Cowgate.

Friday

Ronnie met with Beth Wilson from Warrior Studio to discuss promotional materials and the work the studio has done with other organisations.
