Thursday –
A member of the team went on a home visit to discuss with a woman how independent advocacy can support her upcoming PIP assessment. Advocacy support in this situation involved meeting with the person beforehand to discuss her views, and communicating her views clearly at certain points throughout the meeting.
Friday –
A member of the team accompanied a young man to the Job Centre to support him in his search for finding work. The main role of advocacy in this situation was to help explain his circumstances clearly and why certain requirements of his job seeking agreement may be unable to meet.
