The Care Inspectorate and Healthcare Improvement Scotland are developing new Care Standards, which provide a framework to guide the practice of all care providers: hospitals, GP surgeries; care homes; nurseries; Social Work departments; support services and care providers to name but a few.

They are currently holding a consultation exercise, which will be open until Thursday 10th December. Consultation responses are welcomed from people who use services and receive care, family members and friends, in fact anyone with experience and an opinion about the standard of care they would expect to receive.
