It’s fair to say that most people dread giving a presentation, so spare a thought for Brogan and Katherine, two of our Advocacy Workers, who are in the process of giving not 1 but 5 presentations to Campsie View Care Home, throughout October.

They are now well into the swing of things with 3 presentations already delivered.

These presentations are for staff at Campsie View and the purpose is to advise them on the role of advocacy and the service Ceartas provides making them better equipped to recognise when someone is in need of advocacy support, and how Ceartas can help.

Getting out into the community delivering these presentations is extremely useful in highlighting the services Ceartas provide.

We can give presentations just about anywhere and everywhere in East Dunbartonshire to; service user groups, community groups and organisations, be it our advocacy workers speaking about advocacy or our information workers speaking about our different service user involvement groups, our dementia service or OPAL – the Older Peoples Access Line.
