ABI Café Stories – Living Life with an Acquired Brain Injury
21 May, 2014Dementia Awareness Week
2 June, 2014Yesterday Sharon, our Services Manager, was meeting with Dean from DisabledGo. DisabledGo offers an information service about the disability access of thousands of buildings, shops, restaurants, cinemas, theatres and all sorts of organisations across the UK.
DisabledGo visits and surveys every building in its database to gauge its accessibility. They have steering groups composed of people with disabilities all across the UK, guiding the work that they do and making sure that accessibility means more than just a wheelchair ramp and an accessible toilet.
You can find out more about the work of DisabledGo here, and there is specific information about access in East Dunbartonshire here.
