Ceartas Needs You!
11 March, 2014Care to be Heard Seminar
19 March, 2014This week saw service users and staff embark on their trip to Scottish Parliament where they received a guided tour and also witnessed a lively session of First Minister’s Questions. The day kicked off with some bacon rolls and even the early start could not dampen spirits, with excitement rising as we approached Parliament.
The private guided tour was both fun and informative with attendees exploring the nooks and crannies of Holyrood whilst learning some fascinating facts about the most important building in the country. For many the highlight of the tour was getting to step foot inside the debating chamber where the big-hitters of Scottish Politics slug it out on a regular basis.
The group was then treated to a bird’s eye view of First Minister’s Questions with a variety of big issues being discussed in typically passionate fashion.
Ceartas’ groups were represented across the board with members from De Café, Still Game, and A-Spire attending. The group had a great time exploring the Parliament together with everyone commenting on how nice it was to meet people from the other groups.
Thanks again to Fiona Mcleod MSP for helping to organise our big day out and we look forward to seeing her at one of our groups soon!
