Would you like the opportunity to meet with others who share similar challenges and experiences?
East Dunbartonshire CHP, East Dunbartonshire Leisure & Culture Trust, Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland , Carers Link and Ceartas can now announce that in response to a consultation exercise there are going to be two new Stroke Support Groups in East Dunbartonshire: one group for people with a stroke; and the other group for carers of people with a stroke.
Starting in March, the two groups will be running in Bishopbriggs Library, 170 Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs G64 2LX.
The Stroke Support Group will start on the 13th March, and will continue on the second Thursday of each month from 10.00 -12 noon. This is a peer support group and is suitable for both people affected by stroke and their families and carers. The Carers Group will start on the 20th March, and will continue on the third Thursday of the month from 6pm – 8pm. This group is aimed at providing support & information for those caring for someone who has had stroke.
