The last year has seen Ceartas working hard to develop its newest member group. A-Spire is a group for people on the autism spectrum who want to share experiences and develop new skills and friendships. The group has had a busy festive period and there was a good turn-out for their first Christmas trip this week.

The group met at the Kirkintilloch bowling alleys and proceeded to give Ceartas staff a lesson in how to bowl a strike or two. The bowling trip was followed by a trip to the Indian Cottage buffet and a Christmas themed quiz.

A-Spire members have also been planning a leaflet to advertise the group and raise awareness of the issues surrounding autism. The final draft has now been officially agreed and will be published in the very near future…watch this space!
