The time has come again for us to breathe a sigh of relief. Our 2012/13 annual report has been printed and the AGM was a great success. There were many highlights from the AGM including the Chairman’s report where Martin spoke about the success of our Service User groups including Still Game and A-Spire as well as what keeps him involved: the enthusiasm of the staff, Directors and Service Users here at Ceartas.

The CEO’s speech reminded us how positive this year has been and inspired us for the coming year.

What impressed our guests most was our ‘Advocacy Stories’ short films, invloving 3 of our service users giving an account of their stories and how Ceartas and independent advocacy have helped them. Each film was poignant, moving and added to the overall AGM theme of ‘Advocacy: Beyond the Diagnosis’.

Our guest speaker Iain Fraser fom East Dunbartonshire CHP gave an excellent (and much commented on) speech to conclude the formalities, before our guests including service users, health professionals and board members had the chance to mingle over lunch.
