Our Service User Group, Still Game, have decided that they want to honour achievements by nominating people for a ‘Ceartas Champion’ award.  They agreed that their first Ceartas Champion should be John McLaren.  Over the past two years, John has been a faithful member of Still Game and has significantly contributed to its development.  John has seen an increase in his confidence, social skills and knowledge and has used this to help Ceartas run a Ceilidh, develop their evaluation process and expand their publicity.  John has also developed a presentation about Aspergers which has been really appreciated by service users and staff within Ceartas and further afield.  Congratulations John!

Still Game members also took part in a two day ‘Presentation Training’ led by Heartfelt.  This helped members to increase their confidence in speaking out.  They are currently putting together very moving and informative presentations which will help them communicate their experiences to others.
