Self Directed Support
12 September, 2012Ceartas is Positive About Disabled People
26 September, 2012De Café is open to all this month as part of a double celebration. The ever-popular café for people concerned about dementia is celebrating its seventh birthday, and September is World Alzheimer's Month. To mark these events De Café is opening its doors to all on Friday 28th September 2012 at 1:30pm at the Kirkintilloch Baptist Church. This year the theme of World Alzheimer's Month is "Living Together" and it is an ideal opportunity to come along and find out about the work of Ceartas Advocacy and other local services which provide support to people affected by dementia.
At the event there will be home baking, tea and coffee and live entertainment. Staff from Ceartas will be on hand to tell you more about the work we do. You can show your support for a dementia-friendly community in East Dunbartonshire by wearing something purple on the day.
(Roy the Information Worker has a lot of purple shirts. Which one will he be wearing on the day?)
