Service User Network

Do you just want to increase your own knowledge on what services are provided locally for people with addictions?  Do you want to put forward your views or experiences? Have you any ideas how they can be improved, or do you want to tell others about a service that has helped you or someone you know?

Ceartas, East Dunbartonshire’s Advocacy service is launching a Service User Network for people affected by addictions.

Ceartas provides advocacy services to a range of people within East Dunbartonshire and as part of this role, we are aiming to increase service user involvement within the development of local addiction services.

Ceartas is independent of all service providers locally, and the network will give the opportunity for individuals to learn about services, feedback views of their experiences and staff will support individuals put forward their views to decision makers in the area.

If this is something that you would be interested in then come along to Ceartas offices, Suite 7, McGregor House,10 Donaldson Crescent on Thursday evenings between 7 and 9pm.  Each meeting will be informal with a range of guest speakers talking on a variety of topics before those attending have a chance to put forward their views.*

*There is no specific group program running at the moment, but if anyone has suggestions, comments or questions regarding addictions services or service user involvement contact Lyn Macdonald at Ceartas who will be happy to discuss with you how to progress.
