Ceartas allows us as social workers to focus on the needs of the person. It encourages that way of thinking as sometimes other things get in the way. It’s a big thing moving someone into care, I take it really seriously, I know what it means for people and part of taking it seriously means bringing in advocacy.


About Us

At Ceartas we want to reach as many people as possible in offering advocacy as a means of being represented and supported to get your opinion heard. The majority of our work is delivered by paid staff but we have also worked with volunteers, advocacy can be challenging and before a volunteer works with us in delivering advocacy we make sure you get the necessary training and support. There are a number of other volunteering opportunites such as: Information Assistant, Small Group Support Volunteers for De Cafe, ABI Cafe and Still Game, Event Facilitation, etc. If you are interested then feel free to get in touch and chat more about the opportunities at Ceartas.
