At Ceartas since our inception we have been strong supporters of the local voluntary sector. As the social economy in East Dunbartonshire grows we will continue to be active members of EDCVS and the Social Economy network so that we can support but also learn from our peers.
Gordon Thomson, Ceartas, Chief Exec, is a member of the EDCVS board and represents the CVS on the Community Planning Board and the Health Improvement Strategy Group.
Ceartas is represented on the East Dunbartonshire Community Health Partnership Public Participation Forum and the Older Peoples Health Improvement strategy group. Ceartas has also worked recently with the local Dementia Network and the Multi Agency Adult Protection Strategy group.
We believe this is an essential element of our work as we represent the views of our service users and members. It also allows the organisation the opportunity to influence policies, and from our local service delivery experience highlight any practice issues that have arisen in our casework.
