Ceartas Advocacy provides Independent Advocacy in East Dunbartonshire. We are part of the Scottish Independent Advocacy Alliance (SIAA), the umbrella body for Independent Advocacy in Scotland. If you need to find Independent Advocacy in other parts of the country, the SIAA website can help you.

The Older People’s Access Line (OPAL) is a telephone helpline, a single point of contact for older people in East Dunbartonshire who are looking for information, advice or services in the area. You can call OPAL between 9:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, on 0141 438 2347.

If you need advice about your rights as a citizen, about finance and benefits, as a consumer or a user of services, East Dunbartonshire Citizens Advice Bureau can help you. East Dunbartonshire CAB has a permanent office in Kirkintilloch, and runs outreach services across East Dunbartonshire. East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action (EDVA) is an umbrella body for the voluntary sector in East Dunbartonshire. They have four main areas of work:

The Social Economy.

Community Engagement.

EDVA was formed by the merger of the East Dunbartonshire Volunteer Centre and the East Dunbartonshire Council for Voluntary Service. They have offices in Kirkintilloch, and cover all of East Dunbartonshire.
