Ceartas growing

Ceartas, East Dunbartonshire's very own advocacy service has been growing with a number of new members of staff arriving to join Gordon, Sharon, Patricia, Aileen and Lynn.

Beverley joined the advocacy team on a permanent full time basis alongwith Susie McGuire who moved from her resource worker position while Andy Williams, advocacy worker and Charlie Slater, administration, joined Ceartas from Equal Say in July. Both gents worked in East Dunbartonshire and advocacy previously and have settled in quickly to their respective roles in their “new surroundings”.

We are also delighted to announce the appointment of two additional members of staff. Gemma Gallacher joins our advocacy team from her previous position as a local support worker with Key Housing and has considerable experience in working with people with learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Lyndsey Macdonald is our new dementia information worker, she joins us from East Renfrewshire Council and brings with her first hand experience of working closely with people with dementia and their carers

This growth in staff numbers has resulted in us looking for additional premises and we’ll bring you news of any developments as soon as they are confirmed.
