Volunteer With Us

A date has been set for people interested in volunteering with Ceartas to find out about the latest opportunities within the organisation.

In order to enhance the work that we do Ceartas are looking to recruit volunteers with an interest in the services we provide. We are running a 3 week programme “Introduction to volunteering with Ceartas”.  The programme will begin on 12th May 2010 and will look at volunteering opportunities within the organisation, find out about the work that we do and offer a chance to meet some of the staff.

Interested? Here are some of the things that can happen at Ceartas...

9am: duty call looking for an advocacy worker to support a man with mental health issues who has been detained under the mental health act and wants support to challenge his detention
10.30am: request received from a relative looking for information on how to get support from social work for her father who has dementia
11am: presentation given to local learning disability service on the work that Ceartas does.
1pm: information stall at local health information event
2pm: De Cafe, a group for people and their carers is held in the local church
